Who our scholarships serve.

Sierra Summit Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to Northern Nevada students attending Catholic schools. As a Section 25F scholarship granting organization, we follow a clear order of priority when awarding funds, outlined below.

Priority One

Catholic Classical Schools, Grades 6–12

Students attending a Catholic classical school in Northern Nevada, in grades six through twelve, receive first priority in every scholarship cycle.

Other Catholic Schools in Northern Nevada

Once priority-one awards are made, remaining scholarships go to students attending other Catholic schools throughout Northern Nevada.

Within Each Priority

Renewals and siblings come first

Section 25F requires us to give priority to students who received a scholarship from us the year before, and then to their siblings, before considering new applicants within each priority group.

General Eligibility

Before you apply

Eligible student

Recipients must qualify as an "eligible student" under Section 25F of the Internal Revenue Code, which we verify before any award is made.

Enrollment

Students must be enrolled, or accepted for enrollment, at a qualifying Catholic school in Northern Nevada.

Renewal & sibling priority

Students who received a Sierra Summit scholarship the prior year are given priority, followed by siblings of current recipients.
